Why do you workout? What's your reason?
"I do it for my son. I want to be healthy and feel good about myself so I can be the best Mom I can be to him." - Nicole Haines, PR/Marketing
"I do it for my family." Miranda Newton, Habilitation Manager
"I do it for my health" Chuck Woodyard, Transportation Coordinator
We all have friends who say, “run an extra mile for me,” or “do an extra squat for me” because they don’t WANT to work out. But what about those who can’t workout for physical or developmental reasons? Discover a new inspiration to workout with I Do It For/IDI4. Through, I Do It For, athletes of all levels and kinds find new motivation, purpose, and power for their workouts.
The sole purpose of IDI4 is to foster relationships. We want to see people experience the power of encouraging and being supported by people who were once perfect strangers. Working out can just be about health, or it can be about dedicating our time to and creating awareness for our friends with special needs whose conditions may hinder or all together stop workouts due to age, physical or developmental disability. We also would like to match parents or siblings that have lost loved ones due to physical or developmental disabilities, sudden death, etc.
The only requirements to be part of IDI4 include dedicating and communicating with your match at least four times a month. We also ask that you communicate on the IDI4 Facebook page at least twice a month to continue showing support, not only with your match, but with other members of IDI4. We will be working with local businesses for IDI4 participants to receive discounts or promotional deals as well as organizing community events to give you a chance to spend time with your match.
There are two applications available, The Muscle, the person doing the workouts, and The Mate, the person the workouts are dedicated too.
